Kat holds a steaming mug of coffee in her hands, gently blowing on the surface. Sitting on her porch steps, she studies the neighborhood around her; the street that was quiet a few minutes ago now waking up. She's met some of her neighbors, but between unpacking and work and buying stuff for her new home, it's been hectic. Still, it's only been a month; and now that she's settled down, she promises herself she'll make more of an effort to interact with the people in town, make some new friends.
A bird lands on one of the trees and she puts down her mug on the wooden step beside her and grabs her phone, aiming it at the bird. After taking one shot, she adjusts her position for a different angle when a woman steps into the frame. She looks up; she's seen her around, maybe she lives in the area too? Kat lowers her phone and raises a hand with a smile, calling out, "Good morning."
