Harrison had been very distracted since the night before. Nancy had been working and he was also busy with work related things so they didn't end up seeing each other, but had planned to attend the Winterfest the following day. As much as Harrison disliked leaving his house when he didn't have to, he knew that he should make the effort. His house was so secluded that he barely knew most of his neighbors. Though something was weighing on his mind and he was starting to wish he could postpone it. He spotted the woman once he got out of his car and went to her. "I thought you would be at the snowball throwing contest. I'm pretty sure I signed you up as target practice." he joked, giving her a smile.

Ruby took it upon herself to carry the crate of empties through the kitchen. When she saw her aunt, she turned away from her, refusing to let her try and take them. "I got this, Auntie. You should take the rest of the night off." she said as she set them by the back door. "It's dead in here right now because everyone's at that winter thing. Besides, don't you have to meet Harrison or something?" she inquired.

Location: Harrison’s house

Although they had kept in touch, Harrison had not seen Nancy since Valentine’s day. If anyone had told him that he would have been spending the holiday with his ex-girlfriend from high school this year instead of his fiance, he would have never believed it. After thinking about it a lot, he decided that kissing her had been a mistake. It felt right at the time, and she said it was no big deal, but he still regret it now. He knew he wasn’t ready to feel this way about someone so soon after his break up. He cared about her a lot, and he was lucky enough to have her in his life again, even if it was as a friend. Whatever it was he didn’t want to screw it up this time. He knew she was having problems with her son and needed someone to talk to. The sound of the door made his heart jump a little as he went to answer it. “So, you found the place.” he commented, pushing the door open to let her in. “Come on in.”

Location: The mall in Williamsburg

Since it was the first time Anne-Marie had allowed herself a full weekend off, where she accepted no appointments, it was decided that a “mini-road trip” with her best friend was in order. Visiting the various stores Fallbrook didn’t have made the 40 minute drive worth it. After visiting a couple stores, the pair decided to grab lunch in the food court. “Aw, what the hell.” The therapist sighed as she sat down with a large plate of cheese fries for them to share. “It’s my day off. I’m not even going to pretend that I’d rather be eating my usual boring salad in my office in between phone calls and meetings.” she muttered as she sat down and shoved a few in her mouth. “In fact, I might even go crazy and get some frozen yogurt for dessert. We’ll walk it off, I’m sure. This mall is huge.” she said before looking up at her friend. “So, the party was a hit. I came looking for you after I cleaned everything up to thank you for letting me crash your bar, but I couldn’t find you. I hope we didn’t keep you up too late.”

Location: Maggie’s 50′s Diner 

Ruby was surprised she was able to convince her Aunt Nancy to join her for lunch, but she was in desperate need of confessing something. She could think of no better person than her favorite Aunt, who she knew she could always trust. She picked up her menu glancing over it at the woman. “It’s nice to see you outside of the bar for once, Auntie. I was starting to worry that there might be some kind of invisible force field preventing you from leaving.” she giggled.

Location: Pit Stop (on Valentine’s Day)

It seemed so fitting that he and Franny broke up just before Valentine’s Day. He had ruined every holiday since Halloween. At least this would be the last one. He thought that drinking with other people would be better than being at home. Before he had remembered that the Barnyard was hosting some stupid couples dance that he didn’t want to be within ten feet of. His only other option was Pit Stop. Probably still buzzing with excitement over the Super Bowl, but as long as it wasn’t full of people who were in happy relationships, he didn’t care. He knew Nancy might give him a hard time if she saw him, but it might actually do him some good to talk to someone he knew. As much as she probably couldn’t stand him now, at one time, she had been his best friend. He went in with no expectations, however and much to his disgust, he saw that part of the building appeared to be hosting what he could only assume was a Valentine’s Day party. He did notice most people were leaving, so he kept his distance and ordered a drink from the bar.

Location: Pit Stop

Working with Ducati to design a bike, that was going to be on the market this spring, was one of the few things Harrison had to look forward to at the moment and something he had put a lot of time and focus into, since he missed racing so much. He had originally postponed the podcast interview with them because of everything going on in his personal life. He was surprised when he got a call a few days earlier asking if he could do the interview at Pit Stop. He knew from his encounter the other day that Nancy owned the bar. He had even called it lame so he really didn’t want to step foot in there, and he was sure she didn’t want him there either. He suggested doing it at his house instead, but the publicist he spoke to liked the name and the feel of the bar and thought it would be perfect since they were also filming it for their youtube channel. 

He begrudgingly made his way there, hoping that by some miracle she would not be working. Despite how irritated he was by her the other day, he had to admit he found the whole thing amusing. It was the first thing that had made him laugh in weeks. Still, he didn’t want to see her again any time soon.  He wasn’t sure that she knew he was coming. It was earlier in the day, so it would be quieter. The team met with him as soon as he came in which he was thankful for. He didn’t want to walk in by himself, looking like a loser and having her gloat at him, if she was in fact there. The interviewer told him that it would take a while to set up their equipment decided to order a drink from one of the staff while he waited by the bar,

Location: Downtown - outside the bank

Harrison thought that talking to Franny again would make him feel better, but as he should have predicted, nothing could be farther from the truth. Not having her with him anymore was more painful than he could have ever imagined. Even worse was all of the uncertainty. Wanting closure, but not being ready for that. All he could do was stay miserable for days. The smallest inconvenience would irritate him and make him want to stay in his house where he didn’t have to deal with anyone. That morning he forced himself to go to town to run some errands to try and take his mind off of things and get back to a normal life. Whatever that meant. He rode his bike into town and parked on the street. As he was going inside the bank, he noticed someone trying to parallel park in front of his bike, which he was a little protective of, like all of his bikes. He turned his back and heard a faint thud. When he saw the back of the car was touching his bike, he tensed. It probably wasn’t enough to damage but he was not in the mood for this today, and this small act of carelessness quickly became his breaking point. 

“Woah, woah!!” he yelled at the driver moving quickly towards the bike. “What the hell are you doing!? You almost knocked it over!” he shouted. “Jesus Christ. I just had this thing detailed. If there is so much of a scrape..” he pulled his helmet off mid-threat to address the driver. He looked over the bike and saw no immediate damage. Still, it didn’t stop him from berating the poor woman. “Seriously, where did you learn to drive, lady?”
