as the spices and seasonings filled hyeok's apartment with a light aroma, he had been following a recipe his sister offered him. something simple, something he could actually try to make. while he wasn't the best cook, or really one at all, hyeok wanted to share a homemade meal with junhee. stirring the pot slowly, the vegetables and meat in the stew actually looked edible for once. a faint grin filled his lips at the thought of serving a steaming plate of it to junhee, dying to see his reaction when he realized hyeok did something successful in the kitchen. then again, hayun had her brother over to show him step by step how to make the desired dinner a few nights prior.
humming along to himself quietly as hyeok continued to stir the boiling pot around for another lingering moment, the broad male knew it had to simmer for some time. before he could reach for the pot lid, he was caught off guard by a set of warm arms looping around his torso from the back. smiling a little further, hyeok didn't have to guess who it was or how junhee had crept in while he'd been so focused on the task before himself. the immediate warmth from the other male he enjoyed being around flooded his back with delight. "maybe you should wait to shower me with affection until after you determine the food's actually edible." hyeok teased, soaking up the affection though his neck grew slightly peach in color. there was nothing else that could make hyeok as content this evening other than junhee's presence. "and if it's not? i'll order some takeout, promise." but something about it told hyeok things would turn out right for once.
