everything was perfectly in place. lizzie was alive ( again ), her family had stopped weeping ( profusely ) and someone had yet to claim responsibility for her mysterious resurrection. ding, ding, ding. that’s where he comes in. he’d had to wait, had already spun a story about the disappointing child and how he wouldn’t be welcomed or believed. it wasn’t his fault ; it was theirs. ( and of course, he didn’t want to cause trouble in such a turbulent time. ) “ lizzie. ” he walks over, is careful to put the compassion that is somewhat genuine and somewhat practiced into the flow of his motions. ( he cares about her ; that’s why he saved her life. he’s simply going to enjoy reiterating that fact. ) “ you have no idea how good it is to see you. ” somewhat genuine. it’s good to see her alone. without her entourage of appreciative family and friends. seriously, she seems to be in constant company. “ i see the spell went well. ” he cracks a smile, and then leans over in a gesture to say well, “ well, it worked. ” he remembers not to understate the spell, because it may have killed her but it was a damn impressive plan. “ pretty impressive. ” @geminislegacy
