“I bought red vines,” Calla said, holding up the packet, as the door was opening. “I mean, they’re mostly for me but I might be persuaded to share. I also bought a pizza which is to share.” She spoke with a smile but it was obvious the smile wasn’t quite genuine. Calla knew how close Teddy and Devon had been and was concerned for her friend. It didn’t help that Calla felt somewhat guilty. She didn’t have anything to do with Devon’s death but the note had tied her into the events of that night. “I also stole this,” Calla said holding up an expensive bottle of champagne.
