“No, I didn’t.” The response came as they kept their gaze down at the plants they had been tending in the greenhouse when Leia had arrived. With a sigh, they pulled off their work gloves and finally looked up at their boss. “There’s actually a laundry list of things I’ve not had to do, but we both know it’s never stopped me before so why start now,” they remarked before deciding to level with the woman. “I did, albeit briefly, consider asking for a reassignment after whatever that little show between you and Palpatine was at the ball. I have no idea what it’s about or why it’s happening, because as usual around this house, the only thing I know for certain is that I don’t know anything.” The White House was home to a family from a completely different galaxy that had baggage about the size of one, and she was just glorified gardener.
“You are my boss, however, and more importantly, I consider you my friend. I can only hope that you would consider me the same, but regardless, friends are meant to be there. Celebrate the wins, and have each other’s backs as we work through the consequences of our own actions...so here I am.”
