Isn’t it funny how the people screaming Sansa and Arya getting along after last season is just so ooc happen to be the same people who said there wasn't enough time for petty politics in the final season and that they all just needed to work together because there’s more important things to worry about
I always enjoy arguing about Tolkien with old white men who think they’re such “experts” on the topic, just to watch them slowly realize that I - a woman who is much younger than them - know more about it than they do.
Hon I’ve been absorbing every scrap of knowledge about middle-earth since I was 7. Also I have ADHD so when I am interested I learn a lot very quickly. You’ve read the book twice and think you’re the most brilliant dude now. Sit down.
Deciding to save Tron for last was a really good idea. Definitely gave me my hope back and made me feel better.
The unfortunate downside to this is now I'm wired and fully contemplating my story idea with Ryzen meeting Eve. I'm going to have to create another car, but this one has to actually be evil. Ryzen was supposed to live within that grey area but ever since John came into the picture he's slipped into a mentor/brotherly role and hasn't gone back.
of course a brit thinks she understands usamerican politics better then we do. shut the fuck up.
this just in! the "no borders" crowd suddenly believes in borders again!
final exam delivered. i am just gonna be happy if i pass tbh
I think it’s easy to miss how Luo Binghe and Zhuzhi-lang are essentially the same character because Shen Qingqiu spends a majority of the book lamenting the determination Luo Binghe has in violently repaying harm done to him (which fair since Shen Qingqiu would be the main target of that vengeance), while much of his thoughts on Zhuzhi-lang are about his extreme—to the point of self-detriment—loyalty.
It’s only really at the end of the book (and in practically the same scene) that Shen Qingqiu contemplates how Zhuzhi-lang’s philosophy of repayment integrates harm (“you killed Gongyi Xiao because he thought about killing you but ultimately didn’t harm you???”) and how Luo Binghe’s philosophy of repayment of good outweighed what Shen Qingqiu thought would be his all-consuming need for revenge.
