I just completed my second semester at Harvard this week! I felt the need for a quick D(D)B adventure now that I have a window of time. Today did not disappoint. I went to the New York Botanical Gardens to listen to a lecture given by Dr. Andrew Weil and then explored the incredible 'Wild Medicine' exhibit which opened today. You have until September 8th to check it out!
It was an honor to have been able to meet Andrew Weil, MD. Before conducting his wonderful lecture, Dr. Weil was awarded the New York Botanical Garden's first H.H. Rusby Award. Dr. Weil, a Harvard-trained physician, botanist, and Founder and Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, was recognized for his distinguished contributions to the fields of ethnobotany and integrative medicine, and for advancing our understanding of the importance of plants in clinical care.
