In an interior design fugue state last night I almost bought a chandelier and a ceiling rose and committed to repainting my ceiling without the landlord's permission. But my father wisely talked me off the edge so instead bought plug in reading wall lights for behind the bed (under the cut).
What's your opinion on colour in interiors? Any colours you especially love?
I generally keep walls + big furniture items neutral and then add color with pillows, throws, art etc. That lets me change up the feel of a room with the seasons and makes it easier to update a room without a big financial investment.
My favorite colors are rust and forest green and that's mostly what you see in my flat right now - a rust throw off the back of my beige chair, a few dark green velvet pillows on my grey couch. I'm working on updating the bedroom at the moment - it's very white and I want some color in it - but am not sure what color to go with yet. I'm leaning towards goldenrod...
As you can see from the above, generally I like rich, jewel tones. But for summer there's nothing better than white + navy blue. And of course, I'm an avid Christmas decorator so every December red and green make appearances.
Hi, I hope this isn't weird, but I saw your post on decor advice where you show your living room, and I think I recognize the model of your sofa, is it from Ikea? We need a new sofa and I love that model, but my BF insists it doesn't look comfy enough. Do you like yours? Is it nice for a nap / to read on? (If it isn't from Ikea you can just disregard this). Thanks either way!
It is from Ikea! I like it but don't love it -- the depth is really nice and the bottom / back is comfy but the arms are not. I do nap and read on it but with ample throw pillows to cushion the arms!

Yo. So I went to IKEA and I got myself a sick new shelf for all my games. And I'm really proud of myself at the moment. I put the whole thing together, cleaned up my gaming area (for the most part I has to sort through some stuff) and set everything up on these shelves. It now looks like a small monument to a large influence in my life and I couldn't be happier with how I arranged everything on it. I have to bring up some stuff from downstairs still but I'm really proud with it right now. Deadpool and Zeek the Hunter now have a little place to chill by their major game titles.
