Cytokines & Receptors P.2 of 5
The Scientific Research Notes Of S. Sunkavally (years: 2002-2011).

Interleukins are cytokines, and this is a group of small proteins that play a significant role in the cell communication of the immune syste
Interleukin (IL) seventeen (17): the streaked shapeshifter of immunity and their diseases
General knowledge on IL-17 IL-17 comprises IL-17A, IL-17B, IL-17C, IL-17D, IL-17E (IL-25), and IL-17F, all of which have related structures. IL-17A, also known as cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen 8 (CTLA-8), has been widely studied. There are five receptor subunits that are assembled to form different receptor types. With diverse receptors and ligands, the IL-17 signaling family performs…

An integral part of our immune system, cytokines regulate the body's response to disease and infection and mediate normal to complex cellular processes. Read this article to know how they work. Helvetica Health Care (HHC) - Innovative Life Science products and technologies for improved health and life management.
The aetiology of human diseases is full of complexity, and so is our immune system. In the prevention of diseases, the human body depends on a process called the cell signaling pathway, which involves a chain of chemical reactions between a cluster of molecules within a cell that control the function of a cell, for instance, cell division or cell death.
Human IL-15(Interleukin 15) ELISA Kit
Catalog NO.: FY-EH4623
IL-15(Interleukin 15) Basic information
Interleukin-15 (IL-15) is a cytokine with structural similarity to Interleukin-2 (IL-2). Like IL-2, IL-15 binds to and signals through a complex composed of IL-2/IL-15 receptor beta chain (CD122) and the common gamma chain (gamma-C, CD132). IL-15 is secreted by mononuclear pagocytes (and some other cells) following infection by virus(es). This cytokine induces the proliferation of natural killer cells, i.e. cells of the innate immune system whose principal role is to kill virally infected cells.
Human IL-15(Interleukin 15) ELISA Kit test method
Feiyue’s Human IL-15(Interleukin 15) Elisa kit is an ELISA reagent for detection of Human IL-15(Interleukin 15) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.
This kit uses sandwich ELISA to detect the concentration of Human IL-15(Interleukin 15) . Human IL-15(Interleukin 15) -specific monoclonal antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Standards samples and controls are added to interact with the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed by additional anti-Human IL-15(Interleukin 15) antibody with HRP-Streptavidin. TMB solution is added to react with the sandwich for ming optical signal measured by microplate reader. The concentration of Human IL-15(Interleukin 15) in the sample can be calculated by comparing the absorbance of the sample with the standard curve.

Sheep Interleukin 1 (IL-1) ELISA Ki
Catalog NO.: FY-ESH4789The ELISA kit is a Sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique for the quantitative determination of Sheep IL-1 concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.
Sheep Interleukin 1 (IL-1) Introduction:I
nterleukin 1 alpha and interleukin 1 beta (IL1 alpha and IL1 beta) are cytokines that participate in the regulation of immune responses, inflammatory reactions, and hematopoiesis. Two types of IL-1 receptor, each with three extracellular immunoglobulin (Ig)-like domains, limited sequence similarity (28%) and different pharmacological characteristics have been cloned from mouse and human cell lines: these have been termed type I and type II receptors. The receptors both exist in transmembrane (TM) and soluble forms: the soluble IL-1 receptor is thought to be post-translationally derived from cleavage of the extracellular portion of the membrane receptors.
Sheep Interleukin 1 (IL-1) ELISA Kit Test Method:
This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Sheep IL-1.
Standards or samples and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) labeled detection antibody specific for Sheep IL-1 are added to the plate wells together and incubated. After washing off unbound material, TMB substrate solution is added to all wells and incubated. An enzyme-catalyzed reaction generates a blue color in the solution, thereafter, stop solution is added to stop the substrate reaction and the color turns yellow. The yellow solution is read at a wavelength of 450nm. The concentration of Sheep IL-1 in the samples is then calculated from the OD value by establishing a standard curve.
