Here’s a snippet from my wip [Sunny Mage]. Taken from Interlude III - The Horn & The Halo - Reprise:
“I beat him.”
“Bullshit.”
Sunny laughed. “I’m serious!”
“How?”
“C’mon. Can’t be that surprising.”
“He’s got serious skill. Was it a full on fight? He must’ve slipped up.”
Sunny hated it when Harmony was right. But there were also a handful of times when Sunny loved it when Harmony was right. It was very confusing.

Sad Songs 4 Sad Girls (#6)
Interlude III- Tessa Violet
Ashland, Oregon native, Tessa Violet is one of the only pop artists that I listen to, simply because her lyrics are often so full of meaning and depth that the synthy background noise doesn’t bother me. This song though, which came out the day I am writing this, steps away from typical pop clichés and delivers that simple and sweet guitar based sad shit that I’m so into. I think this song resonates with me so immediately because when the instrumentation is stripped down her words become even more pressing: “I woke up today, knowing no one really knows me / don’t know what to say / all I know is that I’m lonely”. When just a voice and a guitar can illustrate an exact somber emotion, it is a true winner, ladies.
