maybe i’m just not a wokejoshi but im actually so perplexed on why the majority of radiostatic fanfics have dom vox in them. like i get why most would see alastor and initially think Femboy, but he’s much too controlling and aggressively uncomfortable with presenting vulnerability. not even just in terms of sex or physical intimacy, i see so much “Omega-Coded Submissive Alastor” and it’s so baffling to me. especially cus vox is RIGHT THERE pulling kpop demon hunters dance moves with that divinely slutty 2 inch waist and desperate need for approval. trust, he is not going down on anyone, especially not alastor😹

the concept of applemedia/french flag is so unbelievably funny and appealing to me, but only under the condition that vox be the one in the middle. if alastor’s in the middle, it would literally just be him ignoring his two hot beautiful and attention seeking boyfriends. if luci’s the one in the middle, not enough radiostatic for my taste. middle vox is perfect, you get your side of radiostatic and your side of applestatic, with just enough radioapple to make it hilarious. vox being humbled by two powerful, lean, twink men. delicious.

this might be hypocritical b/c i’m always joking about “femboy vox” this and “kawaii sugoi vox” that, but i’m genuinely starting to get irritated at the woobification of his character by the fandom. it’s like, you got one look at “vox’s true self 🥹” (bs) in episode 4 and decided to forget his (imo well written) entire character arc throughout the season.

vincent whitman was a murderer. he was a cult leader. he was a serial manipulator throughout his entire life who rightfully earned his spot in hell. that is what makes the scene with alastor even more effective, because it was the ONE TIME in his entire life he decided to let his guard down and be vulnerable with someone he cared about. up to this point, we have no indication he’s ever cared for anyone the way he did alastor, so when he gets rejected it’s CRUSHING. even then, he wanted to partner up with alastor to TAKE OVER HELL, and he was utilizing some of his old manipulative like buttering alastor up with praise and positioning himself beneath him. saying stuff like “you can really see vincent slipping in here uwu” when he shows an emotion makes no sense because vincent’s/vox’s entire character deals with the juxtaposition between his manipulation and need for power as well as his own hubris and sentimentality. his downfall was entirely self made, and he is an evil person, therefore you shouldn’t feel bad for him. and you especially should not boil down his character to an emotional puppy coded downbad idiot.

don’t know if this made any sense but tldr, you can adore the vox (i know i do) but at least UNDERSTAND his character 🫤

i think i would 100% be a staticmoth truther if vivzie and the rest of the team weren’t hell bent on making it SO clear that vox doesn’t really gaf abt val like that. like, staticmoth endgame isn’t what would make vox the happiest. every single staticmoth moment we’ve had on the show has been either for a bit, exclusively about sex, or sidelined by vox’s undying obsession with alastor. like wasn’t it implied in episode 4 season 2 that vox fully just stopped in the middle of sex with val to go hunt down alastor? 😭
