Trans-Atlantic debt anxiety

While I was abroad, I started a theatre company due to some unexpected success with a play. I was there for a year on a student visa, and successfully opened up a personal bank account within a few weeks of arriving. I filled out the paperwork for a clubs & societies account which was common among other student theatre companies. 

However, my paperwork was held in the system until my visa came close to expiring, at which point they rejected the application after six months of waiting. I financed my plays through checks I then could not cash and am now in a different country stuck with a personal debt that I have to repay all the way across the ocean. I am scared about how to straighten it out and I don't know what to do.

Scholarship limbo

Im kind-of an international student. Why kind of? Well I am an Australian citizen and I grew up in Australia but my Dad is American making me an American citizen too. This left me in a sort of limbo for applying for Scholarships because I wasn't an American residence so I couldn't apply for a resident scholarships and I couldnt even fill out the forms for international scholarships because I dont need a Visa to get into America. 

This made applying for schools in America very difficult. Relying on only what the school could give me was tough. I had to put 200% into my application when applying for schools in the US which was hard too as the application was due right in the middle of my final exams in Australian High school.
