Today in class we learned that during labour or menstruation, there is intense ischemia and infarction of the endometrium lining and it’s literally being strangulated and dying; quite similar to the ischemia that occurs to the myocardium in MI (heart attack).
So yes labour is much more painful than being kicked in the balls, which is just mere trauma, while labour is as if you’re choking the uterus and cutting off it’s whole blood supply....
