So there is a virus being sent around...

And according to @jinxargent you don’t have to click it for it to be sent out to the people you know. I’m wondering if opening the chat would cause the same result.

As an experiment, should we maybe try sending asks to get people to delete these messages when they “send” them rather than opening the chat? I’m not sure if it would do anything, but it might be a good precaution.

If someone sends you something that you suspect is a virus, don’t open the chat. Send them asks. Comment on posts. Until they delete the message.

If anyone can explain why this strategy may or may not be necessary, please let me know. This is mostly my intuition talking.

Also, if you receive a message from me, note that I am not asking anyone for money right now, especially in bitcoin.
