I kind of been grouchy this past days in lack of sleep, sleep deprivation could really darken your mood. Positivity has always been my mantra in life and with all the hate I'm reading on the net, opinions and prejudices here and there, I kind of decided to have a indefinite internet hiatus (I'll limit myself with the use), I think the hate needs to stop at some point anyways, a time away from all those would help me be more productive. I actually stumbled upon a recent article about a man (Paul Miller) who stopped (totally) using any social media in the internet, well most of us will deem it impossible with the kind of lifestyle and living we all have today but he did prove it’s possible and with all the great things that come forth with it makes me wanna try it if only I didn’t make it for a living.
Anyways, that’s why I decided to limit myself with using social medias and the net. Here goes the what I can do in the net: (1) School Purposes. Since I’ll be out school soon (I’m really looking forward to that) The net especially google is held an immensely important role in lightening up my school loads and works so I still consider it as important not to somewhat cut ties between me and google when it comes to school purposes. (2) Blogging/Instagramming. Since I still want to, from time to time, update and posts some thing on my blog, I included it. I don’t really have to read posts on Instagram since it only features photos it’s okay to, from time to time, use it but not overly. I’m using it as well as a tool for my online business so I don’t really think I have a choice here if I want to make my business grow. (3)Facebook Chats. As I’ve said, I can’t really totally cut off myself with the net since I m making it for a living, but I would limit myself to sending messages and on my page. (4)Music. I am quite hooked with spotify right now (I’m planning to write a separate post about it...) It’s great and I can’t believe I’m using it just lately haha. and (5) Mails. And of course I still need to answer most of my mails.
I want to try it for the rest of the year, focus more on the things I could do instead of spending my time slouching on the sofa while browsing Facebook and at the same time stressing myself out for things I could really live without. I have a lot of things to mind and added baggage from the net would be better off. I encourage you people to try it. Here’s the article I’ve stumbled upon, read it and know what internet hiatus could bring to your once peaceful life :)
