Pitchfork: Speaking of "out of left field": Daniel, did you really steal a Mercedes as a kid?
[Laughter]
Daniel [hides face]: When I was in junior high school, some acquaintances of mine came by my house, and they had taken it. It was their parents' Mercedes, but they were like thirteen, and we were cruising around. Then we went to a drugstore parking lot and we hit... No, they took their parents car and we hit a white Mercedes.
Pitchfork: What kind of car did you hit?
Dan: I have no idea, just a regular kind of crap car or something.
