i am having a very hard time getting through this shift. too many video calls. they feel so intrusive and intense and draining. why must they see my face and watch me perform customer service barbie to believe that there's an actual human being on the other end of the line?
they are taking me into the OR on video!!!! i forgot my coffee in the kitchen!!!1 HELP!!!!
another dental treatment, and this time, i get to see it on camera. neat!
first call of the day was a lawyer explaining to his client about how she can defend herself against immigration agents. i need to lay down and cry for about an hour.
a call 30 seconds before i log out?
Gods of Call Flow you have forsaken me.
this provider is sick with a hoarse voice and is wearing a face mask and shield, which is very thoughtful and responsible however completely inconvenient from an audio standpoint. i'm in the room with three kids and their mom who have all been yelling and/or crying at the same time for over 20min while they do their physicals. vaccines are next and we're waiting for who know how long. the nurse made sure to really turn the volume all the way up so that it's essentially a trash metal concert in my ears. throughout all this i'm expected to keep a neutral, professional facial expression and tone and somehow understand what everyone is saying. i need to pee.
i think i should be paid more, actually.
god i hate lawyer calls so much because they make me so nervous but also every time i finish one i feel like a badass for getting all the legal terminology right.
