Made in my sketchbook. It's meant to be interpretive, so the meaning/who (individual or group) it's about is pretty open! I am not the best at poetry, fairly beginner or mediocre at best. But oh well, what is art if not plentiful? 🤟🏼🧙🏼‍♂

The ice was now melting around the skin as I grew closer, back into the sun

The unsurpassable mountain, quickly turning to dust between my bare feet as I leave it all behind

In it's dewy, all encompassing glory and compassion

I saw hearts intwined.

I knew it was there; I saw them all along, but between the lines

However, now lay softer and their relentless barring has ceased;

I no longer am stuck in a forgotten abstract painting piece.

My armor is back on as love's will pumps into my skin

The veins I use to harbor my existence are no longer cold and abandoned by all but the night.

I fight for the night and her right to live on, creating the beauty that people want but could never deserve

I have fought for the right to exist in harmony as the sun.

I can feel the moment where I take my thawed heart back into the softened, hardened chest

And join hands whilst closer draws the moon.

Robbers

One more night No pressure babe, One more night One more hit for the road. No promises, no regrets. Each other's arms are Our only homes, If we end up running That's where we'll go. You always said, "one more time" But, never has the excessive love, sex and drugs been "one more time" One more run, one more fight. We've robbed each other's love Drinking in each drop of life. Intertwined hands, running, in and out. Blood and wounds Stumbling to our drunken escape Wanting to leave, but you say, "Babe, stay, stay, stay." When I thought I couldn't take It anymore, I looked at your structure; The way you breathed and how you said my name, How you always pulled me back in and The way you wore your suit. In that moment, I knew I couldn't lose you. Babe, you look so cool.
