His wings tucked neatly under his jacket, Del wandered through the fair, paying no attention to the festivities, the hawkers trying to get trolls’ attention, or the looks he got for being a rare albino troll in a sea of dark faces. He knew what he was about, tonight. He was headed for the arcade.

Inside the arcade, the ultraviolet lights highlighted his pale features even more, and he quickened his steps, almost instinctively lowering his head. There were eyes everywhere, after all. But, eyes on him or no, he shook out his hair and smiled as he reached his favorite haunt - the toy machines. There weren’t any little trolls pressing their faces to the glass or struggling to net their favorite toy at the moment, so he paused there, sticking his hands in his pockets, temporarily at a loss for what to do.
