The Benihana trick "So I called my Japanese food guy and asked for a Benihana chef to bring in for a potential hand double. The next morning, there were two Japanese guys, me, six dozen eggs, and Mads wanders on to the set and asks 'Ok, What are we doing?' ... I tell him we're doing the Benihana egg trick today, but don't worry because we have these chefs from the Sushi shop, and we're gonna handle it. So Mads asks what he has to do, and I tell him - you throw the egg up in the air, you stick the spatula out, it breaks slightly, you twist your wrist, then the egg falls down into the pan. He says, OK, let me try it....he goes on set, and he actually did it. I accused him of practicing, but that's when he told me he used to be a juggler." Poon says she and the crew were stunned to learn how effortless the move was for Mikkelsen. "I can't believe I worried so much thinking about how we could make it work," says Poon. "He never tried it again until they shot it, and boom he did it, and we all were slack-jawed and happy to move on to the next thing." It was small and barely noticeable. To anyone else, Armand looked fine, he was standing, his arms bound over his head as Daniel flogged him. Hannibal and Jill were beside him with their own scene, Daniel was keeping an eye on both subs.

Daniel knew Armand very well.

Armand suddenly slipped in his head. His breathing got faster and his fists curled into the ropes.

Daniel saw the tension, the curled fingers, the faster breathing. Armand was panicking and frozen in terror. He dropped the flogger immediately and hurried to his boys side, he reached up to start untying his hands. “Stay with me Armand I’m here you’re safe”

Hannibal and Jill looked over concerned and worried at his sudden urgency in getting Armand loose. Armand started to shake and scream begging someone none of them could see to stop.

Daniel soothed him as he got his hands free, telling him how much he loved him. “My loving beautiful Armand I’m here” he whispered as he folded the crying boy into his arms. He found a blanket and wrapped it around Armand before going to the couch and sitting down with Armand on his lap. “I’m here you’re safe nobody will hurt you.”

Hannibal and Jill looked to stop and Daniel shook his head. “He’ll be fine keep going it’ll be fine”

He gently rocked Armand waiting for him to come out of his mind. It took around ten minutes for Armand to recover, he looked up at Daniel his eyes stained with red tears. Daniel smiled at him gently, “hey, welcome back” he stroked his face gently as Armand looked around slowly. “I don’t know…I think it triggered a memory” he whispered. Daniel nodded still holding him. “It’s alright”
