The song is inspired by Greek mythology and the love story between the nymph Clytia and the sun god Apollo. After he loved her, he abandoned her. She cried so much that she turned into a sunflower. I also put another character in the song, a young man who falls in love with the flower and protects it. But for both the love remains unrequited.

I don't believe in an anthropomorphic god. If there is a higher creative force at all, I don't think it resembles what the monotheistic religions tell us. I do believe that we are all connected to an immense creative force. That is what connects us as humans.

I wrote and composed a lot of songs, and ten of them seemed to be related. I then went looking for a title that summarized them. Sahar also appears to mean 'fascination'. And 'Fascination' is one of the tracks on this record. I also think it is a moment between two states, between day and night, between adolescence and adulthood. I'm not a teenager anymore, but I don't feel like an adult either."

Indeed I'm not, and I don't want to be with someone who would be. However, this song is about oppression in general. I hope it will be claimed by people who are oppressed, be it by a political force or in a love affair. As an artist, my biggest responsibility is to encourage people to connect with each other. I refuse to contribute to perpetuating division and hatred between people. I don't take sides, I choose humanity.

I wouldn't describe myself as a poet. For me, a poet meditates on his poetry before writing it down. In my case, the melodies and lyrics of my songs only bubble up when I go to work. I do read a lot of poems, and also texts by other artists. I'm not sure if many people take the time to discover the lyrics of songs and give them their own interpretation. If a song didn't have any meaning, I couldn't sing it.
