Don't feel like reblogging warning posts about JKR's latest thing because they're too popular and making too much noise around the project
But also this is a reminder that if you watch this show I block on sight, thanks

I was doing some preemptive terf blocking and misread a post that asked for statistics on pornography as "autistic pornography"
And now I'm curious what that would even look like tbh x)
Moi, hier soir, des étoiles dans les yeux: pour speak your language day je vais pratiquer mon espagnol, ça sera trop bien!
Moi, aujourd'hui:
En vrai je me rends compte que je fais plus beaucoup de posts persos sur Tumblr xD
Depuis que j'ai décidé de faire ça dans un journal (et que je suis en panne d'écriture) mon blog est un peu mort x)
So I had to see the whole "let guys be friends you Tumblr weirdos, there's not enough healthy male friendships in media, it's even rarer than gay ships" again and I'm like...do we live in the same world? Do we see the same mainstream movies? Do we really?
Because from my window, male friendships are like...a solid 90% of storytelling, recent and not? Like where the fuck do these people look that they perceive a dearth of male friendships? Because I don't see it.
As for the healthy argument, you know what? Fair. But if men (fictional or otherwise) would rather have emotionally stunted relationships with other men than be mistaken for gay, you know what's at fault? Toxic masculinity, misogyny and homophobia. Not the fact that a bunch of us have decided to get our hands on fictional characters and make them kiss like Ken dolls.
Like, how many times am I going to have to see that argument, really? Because I've seen it again and again and again, and so far I have yet to see it go in a direction that isn't "you annoying people are ruining things by forcing the gay in it"
And it's not even about erasing other types of queerness, either! Fuck knows there *is* a problem regarding that, even among queer people, and I am all for fighting that.
But if your complaint is that we're scaring straight men out of making an effort at being emotionally decent to their friends because they're too afraid to catch the gay cooties well frankly I don't care. They can put in some work, realize being gay isn't that bad, and learn not to give a fuck.
Lord knows it'd make things a hell of a lot easier for us too.
The Club Dorothée was a hugely popular French morning and afternoon kids show that, for many people of the generation that watched it, came
I mentioned a couple days ago that my first chronological anime must have been one of several, which reminded me of the Club Dorothée, the program that shared all those animes when I was a kid
And then I went on tv tropes and looked at their list of 90s series and discovered that Club Do has an actual page over there oO
I have unfollowed! I am being a responsible adult on the internet, go me!
I'm feeling very strong judgment for a fandom opinion and I'm being so so so brave for not ranting about it rn even though I could use a distraction :P
