Hi! I'm going to yap about this one time Lily had a fight with Guardian!
Hope you'll enjoy a bit of angst in my selfship! >:)
They both have their own views on the outside, unfortunately. Guardian isn't really interested about the outside & he cynically believes that they cannot escape the city & the whole idea is "ridiculous" to him. Lily on the other hand is very interested about the outside & all the different animals, plants & other life forms out there & she wishes she could see it someday.

It all started one day when Lily was talking to Guardian about the outside & all the things she would like to do there when the city opens. Upon hearing the word "when" Guardian quickly interrupted to remind her that they cannot escape the city & that small remark was enough to ruin her mood (back then she hadn't realized yet how sensitive that topic actually was for her). She became agitated & passive aggressively added that "what if in a hypothetical situation the city could be opened". He firmly reminded her how many people had tried to get out in the past only for ending up dead. That only added more fuel to the flames, making her more upset. She raised her voice at him: "Stop saying that!" & "It's just a harmless dream!". At this point their disagreement had gained a little audience & some of the residents were looking curiously in their direction. Guardian tried to calm her down & make her see reason: "I know you have dreams, but dreams can be dangerous too. They can make you pursue things that cannot be pursued & I don't want you to put your life in danger for a lost cause, because I care about you & your well being." And that was the point when Lily snapped. She screamed at him: "If I'm going to have to spend the rest of my miserable life in darkness then at least let me have this one dream!!! ONE DREAM!!!!" She swung her staff in anger & accidentally knocked a maneki-neko statue off from a table & as it hit the ground one of its ears broke. That was enough to snap her out of anger & when she saw the broken statue & the hurt in Guardian's eyes, her anger was replaced with shame & guilt. She dropped her staff & ran to her apartment, slamming the door behind her. There she broke down in tears.
She didn't come out of her apartment for the rest of that day nor the day after. She felt ashamed of her outburst & for having hurt Guardian like that. She felt like she didn't deserve to be his apprentice anymore for having failed him like that (yes her thoughts tend to spiral when she's alone). Guardian was hurting too. He was sad, a bit about the broken statue, but mostly, because he hadn't had a change to reconcile with her yet. The other residents of the Slums were sad on their behalf too, but they didn't dare to say anything. By nightfall Lily's thoughts were spiraling so bad she couldn't handle the typhoon of emotions inside her RAM anymore & she quietly slipped away from her apartment to the bar. She tried to drown out her feelings in alcohol, but that of course didn't work. It only had an opposite effect on her & soon she was bawling her eyes out on the barcounter. At this point Jacob (and pretty much everyone else) had finally had enough of the emotional turmoil between those two & he went to get Guardian. Lily was still sobbing on the barstool when Guardian arrived & gently placed his hand on her shoulder. In her inebriated state it took a moment for her RAM to register the touch, but when she did, she instantly shot up from the barstool & started frantically apologizing to Guardian about her outburst & the broken statue. She said with tears in her eyes that she would understand completely if he didn't want her to be his apprentice anymore, but Guardian just pulled her into an embrace. The dam broke & she started sobbing even more. He rubbed her back, soothing her & said that he wasn't going to give up on her over a silly, little thing like that. Then he walked her back to her apartment, because there was no way he would have let her climb up the stairs there alone in that state. He helped her to bed, tucked her in & stayed there until she fell asleep. The next day Lily borrowed a little tube of super glue from Doc & fixed the statue.
