In the shadows ! Taemin and Kat
It was a cold snowy day all around the academy, but among the clearing where the witch usually convened for her castings things were very different. The leaves of the surrounding trees seemed to radiate sunlight dappling the ground around her which was clear of snow as if somehow spring had chosen to show itself only on this area. She could hardly do her work in the cold, shivering like a popsicle and so she had changed her environment to suit her needs.
She had spent most of the day in that area meditating, studying, finishing work for those who had placed orders and napping with Vanimelda until she had blinked and realized the sun was setting. There was still work to be done that required her to wait for the moon to rise and knowing it would be hours still she had sent Vanimelda back to the academy after assuring her familiar that she would be quite safe, after all what would hurt her in the forest?
She had just finished setting up her candles in a wide circle as the moon piqued high enough to shine upon the clearing. Standing in the middle Kat’s eyes closed and slowly turning to the four points of directions she waved her arms lighting the candles as she went. As she pointed towards south, a sudden wave of thoughts rushed over the witch and her eyes quickly opened as her concentration broke.
She could feel them, sense them coming closer quite warily hiding in the tree’s. An animal of some sort which was why she could hear their thoughts quite clearly. The poor thing was afraid, no, terrified and letting her arms drop to her side she slid a slow gaze around the surrounding area.
‘Don’t be afraid,’ The thoughts were slow, assuring as she tried to comfort the animal. Animals were always easier for her to communicate with and she much preferred their company.
‘You’re safe here I won’t hurt you, please, show yourself.’
