Quick update: okay, another new blog book creating feature! You can find it under the extra option tab in your blogbook project menu.   The new option is at the top of the list: we made the display of your blog title on the book front cover optional. As it turns out, many of you give your blog a crazy name that you don’t want on your cover!     Well, and crazy are we, for we confirm to your craziness and so have added this new feature for you ;-)

Tumblr connection is working again!

For the past 12 hours, Tumbleloggers weren’t able to work on turning their blog into a book @ Into Real Pages due to something going wrong down the at the Tumblr tech department. All we could do was sit and wait and send motivational mind messages overseas to their developers.

And about a few minutes ago we checked and suddenly things got reconnected again and everything is working like it did before!

Thank you, Tumblr! Take this powerful ‘Yes!’ meme. You deserve it!

Let’s all get back to turning our Tumblelog into a book or magazine again! ;-)

AppForum 2015 was awesome. Drew Davis, best-selling author of "Brandscaping," gave a keynote address titled "The Future of Digital IS Print," and kept the audience riveted for a full hour. I’ll never capture everything he covered in a blog post, but I have jotted down some highlights and compiled a few key moments into a video so you can see the energy and passion of his delivery.

New Feature: spell checker!

Making a typo usually isn’t such a big deal. Readers are used to them and if you notice one, you can just correct it and move on. But typos in books... people are just not used to that. It feels really bad.

Therefore, thanks to a user who pointed to this, we have added a spell checker to our Post Item Editor. As you may now, when turning your blog into a book @ intorealpages.com, you can also make changes to all your post items.

Well, if you do now, you will see the famous red line that mark words with spelling errors. This way you can track down typos pretty fast and make sure your printed blog book is free from them.

Youtube iframes will turn into thumbnails now!

Ever embedded a youtube video in your blog post? From now on you will see them back when creating your blog book at intorealpages.com. Our book editor automatically turns the embedded frame into a thumbnail. Pretty cool, we think. Next step: add support for vimeo embedded clips!

Updated version of our website is close at hand!

We haven’t posted an item on our blog in a full month! Jeez, time goes fast!

But within a few days we are finally ready and will launch an updated version of our website. Next to a a lot of minor improvements, the coolest new features will be:

- A new one columned book format. We call it ‘the novel format’.

- Language support for Dutch, German and the Spanish language!

And hopefully we also have support for Twitter ready. So you can turn your Tweets into a wonderful book!

Coming soon: a new ‘novel’ sized & styled book format

Currently we have two pretty stylish book formats, a square and a portrait one, from which you can choose when using our website to turn your blog into a printed book. All set, all good, all perfect!

But not nor perfect enough for us!

So we did work on a brand new format:

a sraight but great... * drum roll * ...‘novel like’ shaped... * horn and harp victory sound *... one column styled... * crowd going crazy * 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ sized book format!      

Take a look a the above screenshots.

This new format especially suits blogs with a lot of text. So if you are more of a writer than a blogger who tells his stories mostly in pictures, you might be interested in this new format.

We will release the novel format next week.

The square format has three column page layout. The portrait format has a two column page layout. And the novel format has a good old one column page layout.

Here’s some great news!

Today we added a cover customizer to our Book Creator. So when you want to print your blog, from now on you can customize your cover as well!

We start out with one cover template (mind you: we still have 12+ book themes to choose from) but will add new designs in the next weeks. 

Our first cover template allows you to add three images to the cover. We have a cropping tool that you can use to crop nice square images that fit on the front cover perfectly.

We really like this new feature and wanted to add it to our website very badly from the start. And now here it is!
