Intortus EP - i built the sky
"Bipolar" is probably the best single word to sum up this brand new release from i built the sky. This EP somewhat revisits the sound of his earlier work, the self titled, but manages to explore a little further musically.
The intro track hooks the listener in with an xylophonic (new word?) soundscape, inciting curiosity as to what's coming up next. Somehow the heavy songs manage to sound considerably chunky even with their overall upbeat mood.
Anyone that has picked up a guitar should be able to appreciate the skills on show throughout the EP regarding songwriting, soloing and musicianship in general. Download it for a bonus track.
