I'm always searching for the "about" in an image...as contrasted to being an image "of" something, and I find adding more space in the frame adds a sense of place. FWIW best…jf
Thank you for this. I think that what is bothering me lately is that there is too little "about" going on. I am looking to express something rather than just post something technically nice or technically poor but of something that is interesting in-and-of-itself without my camera.

What has always worked for me is to imitate someone else's work that I enjoy. It gets my own creative wheels turning.
I will try that, thank you.

I say, (and maybe you already do this), take your camera everywhere with you, and try not to "plan" what you're going to shoot. Just shoot when you feel like it. Or take a break from shooting and come back to it fresh.
I do take my camera all over and plan very little (that's probably obvious), but I find it hard to avoid shooting the same things again and again. If I go on a trip someplace different, I tend to be disappointed with what I come home with. I think there are extremes of "look at this cool thing I saw" and "look how cool I think this mundane thing is" that I fall into and neither sits quite well with me.

I feel the same way with my work most of the time, but I´ve learned to accept it,I wish I could improve somehow into what I wish my work would be,and it´s work like yours what inspires me in different ways, keep it up and don´t think, just shoot!
Thank you. Thinking is always my trouble. Maybe I am over-thinking the blogging more than the shooting.
5 nice things? About myself? Uh... Here goes. 1. I guess it's a good thing I wear my emotions on my sleeve. 2. I like my body now that I'm older and a bit rounder. More than when I was thin in my 20s. Weird, right? 3. I can make things. And I like the things I make. You may not, but whatever. 4. I think I've been a pretty good mom. I think... 5. I'm funny. Or silly. Or weird. Perception is everything. This is much harder to do than it seems.
Once you get this you have to say five nice things about yourself and then send it to ten of your favourite followers x
oh my goodness so flattered i got this
1. I like my bone structure and body type
2. I'm motivated in the way that I lost the weight i did
3. I'm motivated school/work wise
4. I ended up with a passion for art that serves me well and I serve it well back
5. I have fiery intensity and when it's there it's really there
thank you c:

What makes you happy? Being with people with good hearts. Feeling helpful and appreciated. When my family is happy. Being creative.
What is your favorite or most vivid food memory? When I was a kid (5?) at thanksgiving my grandma wouldn’t let me leave the table until I ate my stuffing. It had hearts and gizzards in it and I flatly refused. I sat there so long every one else had pie, the table was cleared, I was alone and crying. She finally let me go to bed. I still don’t eat the organs.
What do you wish you could change about yourself? Be less of a perfectionist with myself and less sensitive.
If you could change one thing in the past, what would it be? That is too big a responsibility. What if I created a paradox and the universe collapsed on itself? What if the change I make causes people I love to not be born? Or worse?! I’ll leave that to someone else to screw up.
What would you have for your last meal? Chocolate pie, pumpkin pie, a can of whipped cream, truffles. If its my last meal I’m eating dessert!
What gives your life meaning? Working with my hands, creating, helping others, sharing love.
What is your ultimate Christmas wish or hope for the New Year? That my kids are taken care of.
What life lesson have you learned that you’d like to share with others? Shut up and listen.
What is your favorite story or novel and why? Ugh. I have lots of favorites. LOTR is up there though. I’ve read them 3 times. Why? If you have to ask, you haven’t read them. Also the Elegance of the Hedgehog by Maeve Binchy. It’s just afghjhgfffguihcdsgffnjuugfcss!
What is your favorite article of clothing/outfit and why? My black leather Keen Mary Janes. They fit perfectly, are sturdy, go with everything, super comfy, cute, and I don’t have to bend over to put them on.
Red or white? Red.
New questions:
Who is your favorite person? Historical or personal.
What does your dream life look like?
One person you wish you could meet. Why?
What was the last book you read? Was it good?
Do you consider yourself a good person? What makes a person good?
Would you prefer bald or dreadlocks on the gender you are attracted to? (Or on your mate)
Sunrise or sunset?
Describe your favorite song.
What is your favorite beverage?
Why are you on tumblr?
Don’t you have other things you could be doing?
No, the fires aren't threatening us. Just causing us to breathe uneasy. We are a bit insulated with a river on one side and 2 highways on the other. The biggest fire is on the other side of town. The "small" fire is only about 10 miles away. But I think it's burning away from us.
intothewildfire replied to your post: Actually not looking forward to going to work...
I’m sad to hear this esp. when before you have said you made a decision to make this job a life-time career path. Leave yourself open to all possibilities. Don’t tie yourself down or you may end up a very unhappy man, stuck in a life you don’t enjoy
Thanks for the concern! I really enjoy working there most of the time, and I think I can definitely work my way up to management in a short period of time and as of right now I don't have a problem with being there for a while.
It's just that I work my butt off and it's hard working with some of my coworkers because they don't work as hard. It's even harder especially when we have sales like this (where fruit salad or watermelon is buy one get one free) because some of the closers are moved over to the cut bar to cut fruit all night/day.
I think once I get moved up to full time/get a raise I'll feel more comfortable/be less angsty about working there.
