I get that it can feel empowering, I already said I understand that.  My point here is to question why we feel empowered by it and to realize the impact it has on women as a whole when we buy into this narrative that our beauty is our strength.

Helloooo, I saw your post about middle aged moms, and I personally don't think it's that much of a big deal. Tumblr has been making fun of middle aged dads for years, from their bad jokes to them trying to appear young. I think it's more that people make fun of old people in general...
