COLLAGE 3  "THE MULTI-RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY" This collage is to emphasize on how the religious building can be shared in the space. By using the form of three circles, which the overlapping layer can be used as a shared space. It can be encourage to be use as wedding spaces, yard or festivals that all the religious can be harmonize.

While the other 3 collages are focusing on the social interactions to the public. How the event can be control by appilication via phone.

COLLAGE 2 "HYBRIDIZE FLOW IN INTERIOR SPACE" I designed a conceptual view of how the food-court can be development better to introduced hybridize. By using the main ingredient of each menu as a primary and pair up with another religious food ingredient. Everyday every ingredients will be swap around in order keep produce hybridize. The space also separated into two space, one with more subtle while the other space are full with many elements.

       Sukiyaki is a famous Japanese dish which contains a lot of ingredients. One of the important ingredient that play a major role with taste is "soy sauce". Soy sauce had been used to cook over a thousand year and as of now  the technologies and chemical helps our life to be quicker and more comfortable. 

Which resulting soy sauce production to involved with chemical. Also in Japanese working society work under high pressure and stress. It contribute Japanese workers to be stress with their work.

Developing from the previous collage, I did more research about traditional production of soy sauce and play research.

Playground is a play for kids to play. However, it does not only give children fun time but it is also helps children in term of cognitive, social skills, development of brain and muscle, creativity, problem solving and etc. The play equipment is mixed with soy sauce process for kids to learn.

So I compose a Soy sauce factory that is not only acts as a factory but also a play space that is educational where children and learn how to make soy sauce while using their play equipment and watching real process through the window at the same time since the floor design is zigzag which helps children to be able to see what lower floor does. There is a transition for children to play and restaurant where children and parents can eat food with soy sauce.

However, there's an in between space for children to actually experiencing real processes. Firstly, there's a plates that overlap from play space to factory and there will be a tour for children in the factory every 2 pm everyday and this can be one of the reason that can reduces stress in work place for Japanese workers because they get to interacts little visitors and being in a playful environment instead of working in a small plain box with stressful environment and hard work.

In conclusion, a combination of two things that is totally different like how the playground is a very playful place and soy sauce factory is a serious work, it can create an 'in between' and can be a good educational place for children.

Collages - Embrace

Collage 1 : The first collage explores the idea of reinventing a new kitchen typology where it requires more than one person to successfully create a dish. Family members would all have their own role is the dispersed layout making the act of cooking become a fun and communal activity. It is acceptable that the act home cooking decreased and this idea proposed that when we cook it should become an event where everyone could enjoy.

Collage 2 : This collage question the idea of hierarchy within our society. The world we live are control by the need to make money making such cause became the priority of most people. What if there is a reclassification of social hierachy based on priority? What if we value and prioritise our family before any task?

Collage 3: Processed food have long been marketed as a solution to the active modern life. It is chosen over homemade food due to it convenience and low cost. This collage is a package design which looks beyond the cheap price of the product and expose the actual following medical price. Proccessed food may be easy and suitable for modernlife but it took away the ritual and respect we have to cooking.

Collage 4: This collage explores the idea of a community isolated from the community centralised by money to a sustainable one where diffrent type of agriculture benefit each other in  a loop and farming are done by human. This method would create a sustainable community where people return to the nature and respect each process from hunting to cooking their meal. The community would be centralise by a communal kitchen where everyone could share their meal and cook together. 

Collage 5: The cost of modernity is that people began to move from living in a big family to micro units scatter around urbanised area within buildings. This transition into lifestyle within building have isolated people from their local community, a community street became an elevator ride and people begin to lose contact with people surrounding them. The idea of Co-Kitchen in highrise building would encourage people to gather around and connect people through the act of cooking. Those who couldn’t efford the spaces to cook could share appliance with other and people could learn and bond with each other.

Collage 6: This is a design of a cooking appliance use to thresh flour. The design was inspired by a traditonal method used by local street vendor where they would use a long pole of bamboo to thresh flour in a large scale using their weight in conjunction with the bamboo flexibility.

Collage 7: As more people move into the city to seek for money, many elderly people are left alone within their house. Therefore, I proposed an application which could connect local community together with a meal. It would allow them to have someone to eat and connect with.

Collage 8: This collage also touches on the issue with elderly people living alone. It potrays the life of my elderly neighbour who lost her passion in cooking as she has no one to cook for. The joy in cooking for her is to see the smile on her children faces when they ate her food, but now that they are working within the city, she have lost that comfort.

Mistreatment of students and the disabled - This collage is showing how the governtments are investing lots of money into the war and not so much in looking after the people in the low state of the society. Students are getting in jail and disabled find it difficult to find their job and do daily life activities and recieving little help from them.

Bear being hunt - In this collage I was showing the hierahy of importance. As shown the farmer choses his property which is a small bag of fruit and a chicken over a life of a bear. The seesaw the bear was riding on was a shotgun which is a common choice of weapon to kill bears. Bears are shown falling into a museum with fossils in it to show that it is being driven to extinction.

Unpreparedness of people during earthquake - This collage is to emphasize the unpreparedness of the people and indeed making them look stupid. This is shown a men running, dancing carelessly. I aslo address how the messege the government(or the greater people) in this case a god that are being sent to people are so transparent and failed to warn them about it. If you look closer at the paper flying its title said "how to survive earthquake"

1.Ingredients come from around the world.

    Most of ingredients in somtam are vegetable.The main ingredients are tomato,papaya,chilli,garlic and lime. And the origin of them is come from far away. For example, tomato come from Western South America, papaya come from Central America, chilli come from Mexico, garlic come from Central Asia and lime come from Southeast Asia.

2.Growing in region.

    Ingredients come from farm and river.They grow what ingredients that can grow For example, Northeast have a lot of creek so villager catch shrimp to make dried shrimp.And in Northeast it is perfect to grow peanuts and papaya so thats why somtam is the food of Northeast.

Here are my 3 collages. The first one is about the application that can order kaiseki roll that has been transformed into a temaki roll shape but still with the same ingredients. Second one is the vending machine which have the same purpose as the application.
