Lets make some cake!!! with books of course.
First we have Flour - This is the book that was slow to start, but really began to pick up as you went along: Hmm...I'm going to go with Rush by Eve Silver. At the beginning I really just was okay with what was going on, but by the end boy did this book have me utterly and FULLY invested in what was going on...I paced around my living room at 3am after I finished it lol.
Next we have Margarine - This is the book that had a really rich plot.: The Night Circus. This entire story was just so beautiful and riveting and just alive. I loved it.
Then we crack open some Eggs - This is the book you thought was going to be bad, but turned out to be quite enjoyable.: I'm going to go with The Gods of Gotham by Lyndsay Faye...Its not that I thought it was going to be bad...I just didn't think I would like it...LOVED IT! Currently my favorite book of 2014.
The next step is to add Sugar - What is the sweetest book you’ve read?: wooooo, Um...Now I've definitely read sweet FICS...but books? --- SAVED!! Thought I wasn't going to be able to answer this one, had to dig deep but, Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by David Levithan & Rachel Cohn.
After we’ve retrieved the cake from the oven, ICING covers the surface - This is the book that covered every single moment you enjoy in a book i.e happy, funny, sad moments. An all-around book.: Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. This book has mystery, romance, friendship, humor, pain, betrayal, loyalty, action, thrill just EVERYTHING! and that's just regarding the STORY! Don't even get me started on the writing.
For decoration, we add a dash of SPRINKLES - A book series for a pick-me-up: The Mercedes Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. This series is just so fun and not light per-se but definitely action packed and upbeat.
Last but not least, we’ve got the CHERRY ON TOP - What has been your favorite book so far this year?: Since ive already used The Gods of Gotham as my Eggs ingredient, i'll go with my second favorite book of 2014 which is Night Broken by Patricia Briggs, part of the Mercedes Thompson series which is my favorite series of all time.
I will tag!
