tranquility of the air temple  /  a reminder of a life you did not have.  but a spirituality you possessed.  passed on to another but no less lacking.  fingers trailing in the cool water  /  making slight swirls in its surface.  the core of yourself remaining whole  /  immortality bestowed  /  long enough to see a new nation rise in the ruins of those before.  disrupting the surface  ,  water follows your fingers even as they move away from the pool.     ❛  you could probably teach me a few things.  ❜

mastery of all four elements  /  powerful  /  able to literally move an island.  but required supplements at times.  healing never a focused skill.

so,     you  officially  settled  down.     it’s  not  something  i  ever  thought  i  was  gonna  see,     with  you  being  the  definition  of  a  free  spirit  and  all.     i’m  not  sure  the  south  pole  will  be  able  to  handle  you.     but  this  seems  like  a  good  decision  for  you,     and  a  brave  one  too.     i’m  sure  katara  appreciates  your  company.     i’d  lose  my  mind  if  i  had  to  live  with  my  mom.   but  hey,     the  four  nation’s  most  powerful  waterbenders  are  now  together  under  one  roof.     that’s  something  to  think  about.

life  in  republic  city  is  probably  more  boring  than  life  in  the  pole,     so  if  you  were  expecting  a  grand  police  story  from  me,     i’m  sorry  to  disappoint.     same  crime,     different  gangs.     sometimes  there’s  car  chases  or  bending  brawls.     and  lots  and  lots  of  paperwork  that  comes  with  it.     being  chief  isn’t  all  it’s  cracked  up  to  be.     there’s  nothing  that  would  completely  excite  you,     especially  with  all  you’ve  seen  on  your  adventures.
