He’s vaguely aware that something somewhere is making sharp... barking noises. He doesn’t know what it is, or why, but he does know that it’s making his headache worse.
There’s a temporary relief as it seems to fade for a moment, but then it comes back louder and he swears under his breath. There’s footsteps, too. Nanu can hear them getting louder and comes to the miserable realization that someone must have found him.
There go the tattered remains of his dignity.
What idiot even goes outside in weather like this? It’s pouring rain and freezing, and by the sound of it, this person’s got a pokemon out with them? Are they just out on a leisurely stroll in the frigid downpour?
‘Probably some teenager,’
He thinks,
‘And this is some shitty new trend they have now. Going out with their pokemon and dying of hypothermia.’
The footsteps are much too close for comfort now, and it makes him tense up. He’s injured, he’s defenseless, he’s nervous.
Tensing hurts. He ignores it and manages to tilt his head up, fixing the teen with a frustrated glare.
...
...Okay. Not a teenager. Not much older, though. At least he wasn’t too off.
“Loud ‘n clear, kiddo.”
