This is for @justsomenobody40's Inverted AU. This doubles as my Niffty design. I imagine when she got into fanfic and being a weeb she dyed her hair a bit. She also started dressing in ways Alastor would like (trendy) and she would like (anime-ish).

Alastor would totally be posting this if they had social media. Maybe he takes the Pic and slides it under Vox's door just to spite him.

I've been thinking a lot about Inverted Alastor and Vox and what their relationship would look like. I mean they were actually business partners for a long time and then they had their falling out so there's a lot more history. What would it be like for Alastor to fall in love with a man but deny it to himself? What would it be like for Vox to try and change himself to fit into Alastor's chase of new things? The dynamic is fun to explore.

Having said that I'm thinking of writing a fanfic of it. Nothing big, just a short one-shot (i don't write multi chapter fics cuz then I abandon them). Let me know if you'd be okay with that/want to see that. I'm just worried that I'd mischaracterize them.

Anyways, onto the art.

As I was making this, i listened to Good Luck, Babe by Chapell Roan and I thought it fit them SO much, so allow me to genderbend the lyrics. I imagine it's from Vox's Point of View about Alastor's Internalized homophobia.

I took @justsomenobody40's Vox and redrew him on a Human Vox screenshot from the show. I really liked their design of him with the buttons under his face. I tried to mimic the suit while adding my own flair to it. I like how it turned out.

I tried to make his head look older because he's a big fan of the past so he never upgraded his head (or at least not beyond the era he died in).

I figured that since she is being forced to do the hotel and doesnt even LIKE sinners, she loses her temper often. So I thought maybe she is in her demon form a lot more. I also put her in a dress because I keep seeing angels in dresses and I highly doubt Heaven let her pack her wardrobe when they took her so I imagined that she wore a lot of dresses during her 7 year imprisonment and feels off wearing anything like pants/closed off clothes.

Fun fact: those buttons under Vox are actually dials! I’m not exactly sure what they do, after all… Alastor’s the only person to have ever twisted them…
