Week 8
Poster Development
I combined typography using ‘ITC Avant Garde Gothic Pro’, the same typeface from my logo, patterns I designed before and imagery I have gathered previously from UnSplash and my logo’s, to create some posters advertising the workshops. I would imagine these on billboards, shop windows and social media.
Process Book
I loved the idea behind my process book and creating it was good fun. However I did this throughout the break as I had an extension which meant I did a lot of it without the help of Ben and machines.
I hand cut with a scalpel each page and folder it over to then hand stitch through. I absolutely loved the stitching and will definitely be using it again. However the final out come of the book was sloppy, I made some mistakes printing which meant there was a big gap between the spreads. The pages were not always cut straight and my cover bubbled and ripped the stitch through. This final book kind of summed up how the term felt for me.
Overall I am really happy with my website, I think the theme of it really sums me up. However the work on it doesn’t and it looks kind of sloppy so I will be pushing myself to create some work I am happy and proud of to go on here.
This is the finished mobile site, I decided to have a scroll to the top button to. I find that super user friendly, I kept the top just as the logo and had a little side bar to navigate the page.
I also added this opening page to the website. It slides in with my logo then opens the rest of the site.
I moved the stars and my name logo to fill the page better, however the logo at the top is still slightly cut off. I don’t like the blue circle at the side that is meant to be like a short cut thing.
I put these on as sliding carousels and I think I want to add information about the brief and Ideas behind each piece of work later on. I am mainly trying to get all my work on the website and can make adjustments later on.
At first look there was already a lot that needed to change. The starts need to be around my name not making a trail. My logo was cut off at the top and the text was overlapping the navigation page.
