I lowkirkenuinly cannot remember if I've already sent an ask like this, but I think that Antinous should know that the only way he'll truly be secure on the throne is if he kills Telemachus. Just think abt it. Even if you're lawfully married, Telemachus's feelings could change and he could divorce you at any time. No matter how much you think you have him wrapped around your finger, you can never be 100% sure. If you're lawfully married and Telemachus were to die under, *ahem* 'mysterious circumstances' his estate, crown, and title would be unequivocally yours. You were already willing to stand by as your friends were killed, Truly, what is one more sacrifice in the face of all the sins you've already committed?

I've thought a while about how to answer this.

Its important to remember that antinous is telemachus' consort. There was no gay marriage in ancient greece, so the closest thing antinous can become is telemachus' most trusted advisor. To do that, he has to keep his trust. Thats all I can say regarding this without spoiling a ton of invictus for everyone

Is there going to be a happy ending with Antinous and Telemachus? Like actually staying together and very happily and lovely for both parts? 💔

Both Antinous and Telemachus will receive an ending the reader finds satisfying.

Did Eurymachus know when he died that Antinous basically sold him out so he could be the princes consort? And if he didn't know, how would he react?

Eurymachus was aware of Antinous' plan to be consort and split the riches of Ithaca. He points it out in chapter 2.

They were NOT aware Odysseus was walking up the hill with a bow

Will the idea of Antinous only wanting Telemachus for the crown be dealt with before the suitor slaughter? After? While it's happening? Bc I think it would be rlly cool and intense if Telemachus was shielding Antinous behind him from Odysseus trying to get is 108th kill of the afternoon, trying to explain that Antinous loves him, his hysterical voice echoing through the halls while Odysseus tries to get Telrmachus to allow him to kill him because Odysseus can see right through him.

I honestly considered this route, but I can absolutely truly promise you that the confrontation between odysseus and antinous will be MUCH more satisfying (and funnier.)

How many chapters do u plan to have of invictus?

I originally opened my Google docs outline to see how many chapters I had planned only to realize that the information in it is incredibly out of date.

To answer this question,,,, I dont have a SET chapter amount, but it wont be ending any time soon. Im on chapter 4, obviously, but there'll be over a dozen chapters at least. In reality probably closer to 20, but im going to go back through and look through it and find an actual number for you!

Ill make sure to reblog this post when i actually find out the number but tl;dr- a lot, but thats because the chapters are very bite-sized. Since im only one person (</3) i have to portion out the chapters into manageable pieces. Im considering hiring outside help to assist with rendering though 🤔
