Loved the finale - maybe not enjoyed it, but only because deriving enjoyment from that would be a sign of a truly frightening psychology at work - and it retroactively resolved my main issue with the season in how divided Mark and Nolan’s plotlines were by bringing them together in a way that made this Mark’s Uncle Ben moment of needing to step up, rather than the comic where he was already solidly on the heroic path. I hope what we’ve seen thus far is indicative that they’ll be willing to continue radically diverging from the source material in further seasons, and hope its success inspires a sea change in adult animation.

Eh. Obviously I liked a lot of Invincible, Die! Die! Die! is a guilty pleasure, and Marvel Zombies was alright, but I tried Walking Dead and wasn’t feeling it and I haven’t felt much compelled to pursue his work beyond that.

I wouldn’t say that I liked the whole thing; I may have in the past, but if so it was a generalization. While it produced stuff I enjoyed through to the end it definitely took wildly misjudged turns and went on far, far longer than it needed to in retrospect, though I think a lot of that material from the post-Viltrumite War half of the series will be able to be reassessed and reworked in far more productive ways for the show and will in that sense ultimately redeem itself.
