RIP InvisaInk
I’ve thought long and hard about what I could say in your memory, but there’s not much. I admired you as a hero, and I’m grateful for everything you’ve done. But for some reason I don’t have words for you.
Instead of words recipes came to me. I guess when ever things get rough, get sad, I default to chef/bartender mode and make things. Some people draw. I come up with new drinks. So InvisaInk, here’s lookin’ at you kid.
This drink was a fun one to come up with honestly. It’s a margarita with a twist you see. I knew the drink needed to be blue, kinda like Pinky’s needed to be pink. When I thought of you, of your quirk, it made me think of the ocean. When I think of the ocean I think of pirates and island nations, and that’s where the slight tropical flare came in to this. You can see the liquors I used above, but please, don’t be extra like me and use Patron in a mixed drink. I hope everyone enjoys it.
The InvisaInk Margarita:
1oz Fresh squeezed lime juice
1oz Cointreau or Triple Sec (or some form of orange liquor, I prefer Triple Sec)
1 1/2oz of Silver Tequila (I used Cuervo)
1oz Coconut Rum (I used Bicardi Coconut)
3/4oz Blue Curacao
Mix well in a tumbler and serve in a chilled martini glass rimmed with kosher salt.

This drink is going to be served in my bar and night club going forward, on our special hero drink menu that we’ve been working on for a while now.
Everyone that is attending the memorial service at Kiyashi Mall, the one that the Shinsetsu Group and @the-wonder-duo, are hosting are more then welcome to come to the bar tonight (Bottoms Up, about a 15 minute walk from the mall in the shopping district) and join us in remembering InvisaInk and supporting our heroes. All drink proceeds will go to the #GeneratioNow project and all proceeds from the The InvisaInk Margarita will be donated to his mother. Hope to see everyone there.
