        “ susan storm, i’m shocked! ”  there’s a tinge of amusement in her tone, the way she opens her eyes wide, exaggerating the statement.  “ but probably not.  knowing him, he doesn’t even know he has it. ”  it’s a lovely painting;  janet definitely sees the appeal.  she allows herself a moment to admire the painting, going so far as to tilt her head appreciatively.  “ need help with a distraction while you lift it?  i’m a great accomplice  —  probably. ”     #SISGALA2K19

a random ooc note but this event is so fun, and it's nice to see everyone coming together, and it's all because of you! you're wonderful and oh so talented, and thank you for including us in your journey. x

thank u for this ! note ! this event wouldn’t be where it is without everyone’s enthusiasm and participation so i’m glad people are making the most of it . having fun . taking opportunities to interact and just enjoy each other’s talents , writing , moments , etc . thank you guys for participating !!!

‘  SUSAN.   i  need  your  help. ’       dressed  in  her  very  own  lab  coat,  jean’s  come  to  a  complete  halt  in  the  research  over  her  very  own  nightmare.  asking  for  help  is  as  rare  as  this  phoenix  has  friends.  but  she’s  here  find  a  way   to  end  the  infernal  carnage  that  claws  from  the  inside  out.    ‘   i  couldn’t  stand  another  minute  at  xavier’s,  he’s  always  hovering  over  my  cerebral. ’       @invisiwmn  sc.

        “ are you kidding? ”  she tosses a skeptical look over her sunglasses.  “ there’s no way i was going to pass up an opportunity to travel to greece. ”  jan’s donned her best sun hat and summer dress, the perfect ensemble for what is bound to be the perfect trip.  “ it’s just an added bonus that i have excellent company with me. ”

        “ you’re not fine. ”  there’s a forcefulness to the statement, one that warns against further argument.  it doesn’t take a genius to see that something is very wrong;  sue is similar to her, in that they choose to downplay their suffering, and jan can spot the tendency from a mile away.  perhaps it’s a case of the pot calling the kettle black, but she doesn’t give a thought to her own hypocrisy.  “ talk to me, ”  she murmurs softly, a hand gently resting on sue’s shoulder.  “ tell me what’s wrong.  what can i do to help? ”

‘ the choice is yours, if you’re willing to choose. ’

❛    yeah ,  yeah   ...    ❜     frustrated ,  folds his arms across his chest ,  leaning back in his seat .   a hand moves to gesture at her ,  at the other ,  here imparting wisdom .    he’s heard it all plenty of times before    ---------------   councelors and mentors and teachers and policemen ,  all handing him the same bullshit about making right choices .    he used to ,  and it still got him nowhere .    and somehow it’s worse hearing it from a superhero ,  a Famed Somebody ,  because he ain’t that .      he’s nowhere near .

“Oh! I didn’t mean to fall asleep leaning on you.”

for all his armor and iron that sharpens iron / tony’s interior is incredibly soft . in moments like this , where his armor does not protect him from himself / the world - tony is . . . comfortable . at least , in the sense that sue falling asleep leaning against him didn’t send him in nervous jitters . 

maybe it’s because sue was the one leaning on him . their history spread far and wide . they’ve been on the same sides / then warring sides / then mending sides where the edges didn’t really fit as well as they used to anymore . but they’re here . and they had worked rather hard . he was falling asleep himself but forced himself through to finish up their work . 

“ s’okay . not the first time i’ve had someone fall asleep on me . i’m resigned my fate as a highly expensive , definitely imported , comfortable couch . ” tony’s grin is playful as he peers down towards sue . “ you should rest though , if you’re tired . there’s a couch in the workshop i put in case i ever need a power nap . i definitely recommend taking advantage of that . ” / @invisiwmn
