My Old Friend || Azrael/Death

     As of late, it appeared an angel couldn't go anywhere without hearing talk of the end of days. The end was nigh, Michael and Lucifer's true vessels were ready for the war, the seals were being broken, yadda yadda yadda.

     Azrael was done hearing talk of the Apocalypse.

     Az was just as aware of the Apocalypse as any other angel. But instead of being focused on the Winchesters, on her brothers fighting, the fact that she was probably going to be forced to join a side...she was focused on something else. Azrael was focused on the Horseman. One Horseman in particular, one that she hadn't seen in a very long time.

     Of course at that current moment, Azrael was whipping her angel blade around, jamming it into the throat of the demon who was trying to sneak up on her. Another of the black-eyed creatures wasn't far behind, and the angel quickly dodged the attack, ducking and kicking back to send the creature stumbling forward into the nearest brick wall.

     "Lucifer will come out victorious--!" the demon was promptly cut off by Azrael shoving her blade into his back, red electricity sprouting from the vessel before both were dead.

     "Fucking hell..." she groaned, clearly tired of hearing demons ramble on about her eldest brother breaking out of the cage and taking over everything on earth. It wasn't like she was unconcerned, but she was exhausted by it all.

     Az stood back up, cleaning off her blade before she felt another presence. The angel spun around, wielding her blade with a look of angry annoyance before her eyes widened at who had appeared.

     "You're...back."

28, 39, 43, 44, 45, 49

Send me a number for a headcanon.

28: Who do they see as their best friend? Their worst enemy? Best friend is definitely Samandriel. Contractor would fit the bill if they didn’t have their own sort of relationship going on. But in essence, it’s totally Samandriel. Az trusts him like you wouldn’t even believe and I just…sorry I need a moment. As for enemy? That’s difficult. Azrael doesn’t really have a worst enemy. If anything it’s Metatron because one, closing the gates killed a lot of angels, two, he’s a dick, and three, him closing the gates made it impossible to do half her job.

39: Would you say that they have a superiority-complex? Inferiority-complex? Neither? She’s an angel I don’t know what you’re expecting here. Superiority complex overall, definitely. Az may be more accepting than many of the other angels, but she’s still prideful and considers herself above a lot of people. She needs to be knocked down a few notches every once in awhile because of it. I’d say she has an inferiority complex too, but that’s just her self-loathing speaking.

43: Religion? OBVIOUSLY she’s going to lean towards the Catholic/Christian views of religion. Some Islamic views too, on account of they actually have some mythology and text on her. It’s really vague, but hey, it’s more than the Christian views did for her.

44: Superstitions or views on the occult? How do I even…uhm she’s an angel? She believes in everything?

45: Do they express their thoughts through words or deeds? Deeds. Oh my god, deeds. Azrael sucks at words, and expressing herself as far as language goes. She can speak every language under the sun and she could never express herself in any of them the way she can in deeds. That’s what makes her difficult to understand much of the time, because she sucks at talking to people, being open, saying what she needs to say. But if she can do something to show her appreciation, or affection, or whatever else, then she will.

49: Is this person afraid of dying? Why or why not? Terrified of it. Ironic huh? Ya know, considering she’s the Angel of Death. But it’s not just for herself, it’s because her death marks a sort of ‘end of the world’ in and of itself. But even then, it’s about leaving people behind that she cares about. That’s why she’s so scared about getting weak, because dying means being apart from the people she loves. The journey in and of itself? Not all that bad. She’s helped enough souls cross over to understand what’ll happen, and Death would definitely come and personally collect her ‘soul.’ It’s just leaving people behind that scares her.
