Life since Ai’s death had changed. That much Yusaku couldn’t deny anymore. Not only, that he hadn’t a place left to go back - he hadn’t dared to even get close to his flat for weeks, too scared of the memories he had to face there - his whole life had somewhat lost its meaning. There wasn’t any revenge left. Ryoken didn’t want to be saved. Ai couldn’t be saved with being dead. No truth left to be uncovered after he found Ai’s simulations. And school never had been important for him to begin with so he hadn’t been there for months and at this point he wasn’t even sure if he hadn’t been expelled from that school thanks to his lack of attendance.
He avoided to meet people he knew. Hopping from one hotel to the other whenever he was offline for some time because he still was human and needed rest, eat and something to drink among some other things.
He had left the parts of the city he was familiar with long ago and at some point he began to let his guards down. Or he just had gotten too tired of keeping them up . After all who was supposed to search for him at this point anyways?
Maybe that way of thinking was what had gotten him into this situation. Or it was the fact that he hadn’t slept in days and just outside of his hotel room because his body was demanding food after a probably well too long time, that had left him tired, unfocused and reckless. Whatever it was, he was rather sure the moment his eyes met those of Spectre, that he was in trouble. Because there was no way Spectre wouldn’t tell Ryoken about this.
On the other side... Ryoken had made his position rather clear so why would the older one even care? Still... he wasn’t feeling that well right now. But running wasn’t really an option either, was it? Well... it wasn’t like he already was on a run to begin with in some way.
Still... no words left his lips. After all there wasn’t much he had to say, even less to Spectre of all people, as he was rather sure that guy would find a way to use his own words against him but still... at some point he just felt stupid about this whole situation.
“I didn’t know you guys were back in town.”
His eventual choice of words wasn’t helping on that matter though. || @invuid // starter call
