match made in techland
just arrived home after taking lulu to fnac tech clinic for an upgrade to ios 4.3.2. it cost me 19€ & took under two hours. (i used the time for some retail therapy - sun hat, bag, and a much needed bikini). airstash is working. i've also installed the airstash+ app. my music library is intact. my apps are still there. seems lulu got her prince after all. & this blog will get its fairytale ending as well.
4.3.2 ...... Already??
Apple released 4.3.1 roughly 2 weeks ago. It contained various "fixes" to the iOS software including:
Fixed graphics glitches on 4th Gen iPod Touch
Baseband updates for the 3GS and iPad (original)
Fixed memory hang that results in memory corruption when reading large files from USIM filesystem
Fixed problem with NTLM authentication in apps and on websites
Fixed issue with the Springboard and 3rd party apps not recognizing the gyroscope on the iPad 2
Resolves bugs related to activating and connecting to some cellular networks
Fixes image flicker when using Apple Digital AV Adapter with some TVs
Resolves an issue authenticating with some enterprise web services
Changes the behaviour of the battery percentage
AND as most of us know @i0n1c with the help of the Dev Team released the ONLY public jailbreak tools RedSn0w and Pwnage Tool for Mac OS X and with the help of @iH8sn0w an update to his Custom ISPW Creator sn0wbreeze was released for Windows. Which is all well and good.... unless you own an iPad 2 in which case your there is not a current jailbreak tool for. .... there is peace again in the community. Users have changed their constant bombardment of requests to focus on Unlock Tools (ie UltraSn0w) and Cydia App compatibility issues with the new Apple Firmware. (Some things never change.)
Which leads us back to the rumor mill, and Apples release of iOS 4.3.2 in the next couple of weeks (Save those SHSH blobs now people !! TinyUmbrella) Will we see a jump to iOS 4.3.2? GREAT SCOTT I hope not, it will be nothing more than bug fixes and security patches. Hopefully this won't send us into another Jailbreak drought for those who haven't yet Jailbroken on an earlier release. The real prize will be seeing what iOS 5 looks like and how much it has changed structurally. Word on the street is that developers will get that as soon as its rumored debut at WWDC this June 6th in San Francisco. In the meantime, and as always, stay away from 4.3.2 until deemed safe by the community.
