IK Multimedia iLoud Portable Speaker Preview
Portable speakers are in the news again, but it is safe to say that there are actually some good offerings out there. Not every portable speaker kit deserves to be stuck on an infomercial at 3 in the morning. The issue with most of these miniature devices is their size. By making them entirely too small, it is very difficult to get any real clarity out of the sound that is being produced. When you make the sacrifice of it needing to be a two hand carry setup, you have given yourself more options in the performance department. If there was ever a company that should have made a portable speaker, it is IK MULTIMEDIA; and they did. It is called the iLoud, which isn’t very original – but their close relationship to Apple and iOS users alike makes it easy to stomach. On looks alone, it isn’t anything wildly out of normal, and actually looks very professional rather than playful. Speaker controls and cones are on the front of the device itself, leaving the back panel open for plugs and wires. This means your speaker view is not cluttered by devices and other nonsense.
