How to Choose a Smartphone — 5 Tips
Recent data shows that across the world there are now more smartphones purchased than feature phones. This means that the practice of protecting your phone with a case will continue to be important. But before that, you also need to know how to choose a smartphone. There are different methods, for sure, but we think that if you follow these 5 tips you will come out of the process with a phone you love.
Do some research to ensure that the provider for your phone and data service allows you to do everything you want to do. Some providers will offer better rates than others, while others will offer features to plans that are more customizable. There are no shortcuts here. Do your homework. You’ll be glad you did.
2. Select an Operating System
If you know that you want to go with the iOS operating system, then your mind is probably just about made up concerning the smartphone you choose. On the other hand, if you want to go with the Android operating system or the Windows operating system, then the door is still wide open.
When you’ve narrowed down your choices a bit, you can start looking at the specs of different smartphones. Which features the most memory? Which has the highest-res screen? Which has the fastest processor? All good questions.
What sorts of apps do you want to be able to use? Many apps are available on multiple platforms, however some organizations put more effort into developing iOS apps first and Android second. Of course, there are some Android-specific apps that you cannot find on iOS as well.
After doing all of the above, don’t discount your gut feeling. If one phone just seems a little cooler or a little more fun, then perhaps that is the phone for you. Then — once you have chosen your phone — we can help you protect it.
