Blizzard conditions are expected to intensify in parts of Iowa, Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan today. Winds will be gusting over 50 miles per hour, accompanied by moderate to heavy snowfall, resulting in 4 to 8 inches of snow accumulation in these areas. As the storm progresses, the Ohio Valley, lower Great Lakes, and Appalachians will experience a transition from rain to snow showers tonight and into tomorrow morning. These snow showers may leave a light dusting of snow in these regions. Severe Weather: Severe storms will be confined to southeast Virginia through the eastern Carolina’s early today. Storms will produce damaging wind gusts and perhaps a tornado. The line of storms will go through eastern Maryland and southern NJ this afternoon. A secondary area of thunderstorms will develop across western PA in the dry slot this afternoon.
