Day 33 - Happy Easter
Today was a day of reflection. Being a major holiday, made the current lockdown and situation around the world feel even more poignant. Normally, we are celebrating this long weekend with friends and family, having extravagant brunches and organizing egg hunts for the kids. But with these activities strictly forbidden, I succumbed to my mom’s nagging and attended an online church service at the International Protestant Church of Zurich. I’m really glad that I did. The message was uplifting and the pastors were engaging and relatable and also, I was just wow’ed by how organized and resourceful they were with the choir and youTube videos for the hymns. I was particularly moved by a poem written by Kristi Bothur titled “How the Virus Stole Easter”.
