Little life update :)
Heyo. I have been on a bit of an internet break. While I still have my account here on desktop, obviously, I did delete my Tumblr app off my phone, as well as a few other things like Instagram, Spotify and Youtube etc. I'm also in the process of removing as much of my information and content as feasible from the general Internet. (I don't think I need to explain why...)
I've been working on replacing the various functions of my iphone with other, non-internet-dependent gadgets. It's been a lot of fun, actually. I got my hands on an old MP3 player from around 2005 that still works just fine and takes an SD card, so I can probably put a LOT of songs on a bigger SD card and have it all with no ads. 😎 I've been using a paper planner, and I got some pocket-sized composition notebooks at the dollar store and I've been carrying one around on my person to jot down things I might normally use my phone for - reminders, to-do lists, ideas, goals, etc.
I found a very cheap little digital camera at Five Below for like $15, and now I use it to snap pictures of significant moments or pretty things I come across.
I've started to collect CDs. (If I ever fix my actual desktop computer, maybe I'll be able to burn them again. 🥲) They're plentiful and often free or very cheap secondhand. I have a basic little CD walkman that I've been using at home and on walks.
Eventually I'd like to get a cheap prepaid flip phone with a set amount of texts and calls paid for ahead of time, for basic safety and communication ability, and break up with my iphone as much as possible. (Unfortunately I think it would be silly to get RID of it, since many adult activities somewhat rely on apps and iphones now... but that's another rant.)
And, oh, yeah, I've been job hunting I guess... that's not NEARLY as interesting to me right now but it is unfortunately part of my life. :/ I'd gladly be a writer and lesbian homemaker, but alas. Late stage capitalism is homophobic.
