With Emergency SOS in iOS 11, you can quickly and easily call for help and alert your emergency contacts.

So I may be late to the party here but I wanted to share something very important that I just learned.

If you have an iPhone and ever find yourself in trouble press the lock button rapidly 5 times and an SOS button will appear on screen. If you press that button it will automatically call the closest police station to your location. Spread this and stay safe.

I don’t know if you know this but the iOS 11 emergency sos button does contact local emergency services. Your source says so first and foremost. Idk if maybe they changed the article after you posted, but I thought you should know.

Thanks for letting me know! Maybe they did change or add that feature? I remember it only being for emergency contacts, but it was a few weeks ago that I read it as well. I’ll go change that post. :)
