So... iPhones are trash and should respect other phones, not this garbage... But I was petting a pretty kitty at game night tonight! Such a cutie!!

I did it! I made something really far out, edge of the art world sort of thing. The tech for this is only a couple years old and I'm the only person I know on campus doing something like this. So what it is is an Alternate reality painting that I made using the VR-painting program Tilt Brush then did some fancy exporting and Unity work and now I've made my own little android app (iOS soon, maybe) that will recognize one of my paintings I've made and project a 3-d model over it that tracks to the painting allowing it to be explored in 3 dimensions. Truly 3d painting without the need to take my computer everywhere. Here is a link to the apk file for android, your android should let you install from outside sources by default but will give you a warning about unknown developer. Because the developer is me! If you have the dropbox app on your android device it should install straight from there. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hn2w4017ap3qoqe/ARProject.apk?dl=0 and the painting that it works with is in this post. Just install the ultra lightweight apk and point the camera towards the painting and a 3d model will quickly pop out for you to explore.

Note: This does not work on iPhones because 1. its an android apk file. 2. iPhones are shit and wont let you install custom apps. (I’m kind of frustrated at this one because by some god damn twist of fate everyone in my fucking class is an iPhone user and I can’t afford the 99$ to submit my app to the App store, I mean I can’t afford the 25$ for the Android app store either but at least you can install custom apps on Android. )

I just saw a commercial with an iphone falling off a counter saying 'don't worry it's an iphone' and I have never laughed so hard in my LIFE.

I had to switch back to android because I broke like 3 iphones lightly dropping them WITH a case on, my first phone lasted like 3+ years and, knock on wood (with my android screen because they're indestructible), my disaster prone ass hasn't managed to break or scratch this one yet
