I recently saw this skit of somebody making fun of the Riddler for leaving so many clues at his crimes and yes, it is his brand but it also might be a compulsion of his. I was thinking of Bruce, fellow OCD haver, telling the Robins, cops and fellow vigilantes to knock it off when roasting the Riddler for being 'dumb enough' to leave clues. Bruce knows that Edward can't help it. He understands the anxiety Ed gets whenever he tries not to leave a clue, all the sorts of things that runs through his head when he thinks about not leaving clues, how it will effect him and the world around him. Bruce gets it.
